About this course

You need a Trainee Limited Certificate if you want to work while you're training, or if you need to complete certain exams or work experience before your registration and need to work while doing them. This course gets you ready to work safely in electrical jobs while you're still learning the trade. You'll cover the safety basics, testing procedures, and first aid that keeps everyone safe on site.

The course contains online theory assessments to be completed before the course starts, followed by tutorials and a practical assessment, including first aid and CPR certification.

Course format and requirements

Complete online theory assessments (to be completed before the course starts) then attend a 2-day practical course (Monday to Friday). O

No prerequisites are required for this course. This training is required by the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) to attain a Trainee Limited Certificate (TLC) or Provisional Licence.

What happens after

You'll need to register with the EWRB and receive your EWRB number before starting this course to get your Trainee Limited Certificate. When you pass, we report your results straight to the EWRB. You can request a Certificate of Attainment if you need one.

On successful completion of this course, a Trainee Limited License can be applied for with the EWRB. The outcome of this course is reported directly to the EWRB.
